I came into the Sapulpa County Treasurer's Office today to purchase vehicle stamps for my family's business that has been located in Sapulpa since 1971. Upon walking in, the Sapulpa County Treasurer himself, Don Engle, very rudely said "Let me guess, you're here to try to make a payment on your mobile home because you got our notice that it is going to be foreclosed." I said "No, I just need to purchase vehicle stamps for my family business." He replied,"Well I didn't mean anything by it, that just looked like what you were in here to do." On what planet is that an acceptable thing to say to someone? He is in a public elected office and this is the way he treats citizens of Sapulpa?
