We then proceeded to continue to wait.
Our grand total wait time was 7 hours for a total of 3 minutes with a doctor who "wasn't sure what to do".
In and out , very good experience. Awesome staff , and they treated me like a person not a # . Thank you all !!!!!
After reading other reviews I realize I had the same issues as many other people and I wish I had read these before I went. I'm not even sure if they have a doctor in the emergency room if they do he is an idiot and forgot to put the beer and bongs down during Med school. They were completely clueless and lack anything that I emergency room should have to help people in an emergency. I'm not sure if there are any but there should be regulations to a minimum of what an emergency room should have on hand. And they definitely don't have the proper equipment or knowledge. Like many of the other reviews I sat for hours waiting for a doctor who told me he didn't have a clue and now they want a few thousand dollars. I had no testing no x-rays no lab work no urine samples they just looked at me. And they referred me to a specialist who they assured I would see me in the morning and that they had spoken with him. The referral was no good and I am unable to see the doctor for another day.
Worst experience ever. Took my wife in to the emergency room for a serious potentially life threatening matter. We waited for 3 hours before the doctor came to see us. In the meantime we were told by one of the nurses that "the doctor isn't sure what to do in this situation and I think that's why it's taking so long.."
This was a serious, although not complicated matter! Yet when the doctor finally came in we were told "I need to make some phone calls to figure out the best course of action".
I have been in the hospital a total of 7 weeks 1 day. The nurses are amazing. I wish I could by them all gifts. I have had a few issues with my pain being handled. It was difficult to deal with. Doctors went with the best information they had. Took awhile but it got handled. I am grateful for the kindness of the nurses. The physical therapy people are great, the techs are nice and even the security. I'm grateful to be alive because of spine infection.
I feel it's necessary to share my experience because I don't want others to experience the same issue. So, 4/15/2017 I went into the ER because I could taste blood when I belched and I had a pain in my esophagus. The doctor basically acted as if it wasn't a big deal, maybe just GERD, I was over reacting etc. (I've had insurance over 6 years and this was my first time using it, obviously I thought it was serious) I even told him I think I have some kind of ulcer. He gave me some liquid while I was there to numb it, told me to get some Pepcid and sent me on my way. Well I took matters into my own hands, scheduled an endoscopy and ended up having, LA Grade D erosive esophagitis, White nummular lesions in esophageal mucosa, and Erythematous mucosa in the antrum. All this means is I had multiple erosions and ulcers. I'd like a refund but obviously that won't happen, but if I can just save one person from wasting time and money this review will be worth it.
